Resetting Polycom deskphones to factory default

Performing a factory reset on a Polycom deskphone reverts the settings to the factory default and deletes all stored information. Possible scenarios where you need to reset the deskphone include:

- Other troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve the issue.
- You’re using the phone with another service provider.

Using the default password

- Press the Home
  button.
- Go to Settings > Advanced
  .
- Enter the default admin password. The default admin password is 456
  .
- Go to Administration Settings > Reset to Factory
  .
- Select Yes
  to confirm.

Wait for the phone to reboot. Once done, the device will restart with factory settings.

Using the MAC address

If resetting the deskphone with the default admin password fails, you can use the MAC address.

- Look on the back of your deskphone for the MAC address. It will be a 12-digit alphanumeric code on a sticker.
- Unplug the power or network cable from the deskphone.
- Plug the deskphone back in.
- Press the Cancel
