TARGET DVS MANUAL 855 CREATION INSTRUCTIONS
About this article:
When you receive an email for the Target DVS 855 Cancels, we must create the 855 file manually to populate the reason codes.
There are already files to which we can copy and add the codes. Please follow the instructions below when we have to create a manual file.
Email given to you has the PO#, and the Reason Code in it:
1. Find the PO in Transactions – Find Menu. See Knowledge base Article on Finding Transactions in Biz.
2. Click on the sunglass icon for the PO.
Click on Wrap On Terminator. You will use this information later in the instructions.
3. Go to the Documents\Trading Partners\Target DVS folder. Pick the latest .edi file and open in Notepad ++.
4. Run the highlighted macro below to wrap the file .
5. File – Save As and change the file name by changing the date to today’s date and the PO# on the end of the file.
6. Utilizing the 850 View screen, change the following:
- Change the below dates to in the ISA & GS to today’s date. One is 6 digit (YYMMDD), and the other is 8 digit (CCYYMMDD).
- Change the ISA Control Number by moving the last digit up by one making it 400041668 or 500041667. Modify the IEA control number to match.
- Modify the PO# and get the PO Date from the PO modifying that below.
- Modify the item number from the PO and the email
- Change the ACK29 code to the one in the email.
This is what the file should look like after the changes.
7. In Search – Replace Menu, take out the Line Feed. Make sure the Extended box is checked, then click on Replace All.
8. Copy and Paste the file in the directory below:
\\hqmun-105\testinbound
9. Go to the Services Menu, and click on the Green Poll/Play Button next to the Simple Scan Service.
10. Check your Operations Flow in the Operations Menu to make sure no errors/issues and sent.
