Oracle Upgrade
Munchkin has upgraded Oracle EBS. This is the first time in 7 years that a major upgrade is done. This upgrade will enable us to use features that are currently deemed ‘standard’ in business operations. You will see these features being added later this year and will help Munchkin towards Compass goals.
You will initially only see minor differences. Don’t be alarmed:
This version is still using a lot of Java features. The version of Java will be different and will avoid have to accept the exception message. If you open Java for the first time, make sure to check ‘I agree’ and also the ‘Do not show this again’ box and you will be able to open Java seamless in the future.
If you are waiting on concurrent requests to finish on a regular basis, there is now an ‘auto-refresh’ checkbox. Once the concurrent request form opens, you can check this and the screen will be refreshed automatically.
As usual, we will have a TEST (Testing system) as well as a DEV (Development system) available if you like to test out new features. Contact your Oracle team if needed.
