Missing "+" icon while adding the virtual Background in Zoom

Issue

Not Showing “+” icon in Zoom Virtual Background once you clicked the Zoom link provided by HR.

This is occurred in China only.

Solution

Step 1.

Connect to the VPN using (Step 1 to Step 14), otherwise the China firewall will be blocked Zoom account registration.

Remark: Shanghai office does not require VPN

Step 2.

Once VPN Connected. Open “Zoom” Application on your desktop.

If you did not have Zoom in your Laptop, please click the follow link to install ZOOM application first.

Step 3.

Once installed, please open the ZOOM application and click “Sign In” in red rectangle.

Step 4.

Click “Sign Up Free” at the right bottom corner. “Red Rectangle”

Step 5.

Fill in your Date of Birth.

Step 6.

Fill in your Email Address.

Step7.

Please select the correct images from the text (Bold) for verify, like below

Remark: The below screen is just for example only.

Step 8.

Zoom will send you the confirmation email for your zoom account

Step 9.

Check your email box and click “Consolidate into Account”

Step 10.

Please enter your First Name; Last Name; and Password then click “Continue”

Step 11.

Click “Skip this step”.

Step 13.

Click “Go to My Account”

Step 14.

Double confirm your account in Zoom webpage. Registration completed.

Step 15.

Open “Zoom” app and login Zoom using your account. “Checked” keep online.

** Important**

Make Sure your account keeps online during the meeting, otherwise the “Add” icon cannot be show up in Virtual Background

Step 16.

Click the Awards Show link that HR provided.

Step 17.

Click Open

Step 18.

Will ask you to fill the mobile number and get the verification code.

Step 19.

Once verified, select virtual Background.

Step 20.

Now you can see “Add” icon.

** Please keep your Zoom account online**

Remark: China cannot be download image from Dropbox, I believe John Liang has been sent out the Background images to QC members.

Step 21.

Once you inserted the background images, Zoom will need you to install virtual background pack like below

Step 22.

Final Step, Uncheck “Mirror my Video”.
